DoorGuardian AI Terms of Service

A legal disclaimer

PRIMESOFT PTE. LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, or “PRIMESOFT”) provides the DoorGuardian AI mobile application (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms and Integration with Privacy Policy

Your use of the App constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy (accessible via In-App Settings > Policies), which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App immediately and cease all use.

2. Scope of Use and Restrictions

The App is intended solely for private residences or within private fenced areas. It is strictly prohibited to direct monitoring toward public areas (e.g., streets, elevators, sidewalks, or other public spaces). Any such use may result in privacy infringements or legal violations, and you bear full responsibility and liability for any consequences.
All monitoring features are disabled by default. Monitoring begins only after you manually activate “Start Monitoring”.
You are solely responsible for ensuring compliant use and for any misuse or violation of these restrictions.

3. Biometric Data Processing

The family recognition feature requires you to voluntarily upload upper-body photos of family members (at least 1 photo per person; 4 or more recommended for improved accuracy) and confirm that you have obtained explicit authorization from each family member.
Photos are used solely for one-time on-device extraction of facial feature vectors (Face Embedding templates). After extraction, the original photos are retained locally in the App's secure folder and linked to their corresponding vector data for management and user control purposes. The photos themselves are not used for ongoing recognition; only the anonymized vectors are compared against live video frames for identification.
The resulting facial feature vectors are stored in the app’s local SQLite database (within the device’s sandbox, protected by system-level file encryption).
If no photos are uploaded, the app treats all detected faces as strangers by default.
Stranger faces are compared in real-time only; no samples or vectors are stored.
You may withdraw consent and delete all biometric templates at any time via the “Settings> One-Click Withdraw All Consents”. Deletion is immediate and irreversible; all related processing stops upon deletion.
Storage Location (can be added as a subsection or footnote):
- All data (including temporarily uploaded photos, facial vectors, logs, etc.) is stored locally in protected device folders:
- iOS: Uses NSFileProtectionCompleteUntilFirstUserAuthentication (encrypted after device lock).
- Android: Uses equivalent system-level file encryption mechanisms.
- No permanent cloud storage of any kind.

4. Video and Alert Features

Video is recorded for 10 seconds only when abnormal sounds are detected AND a stranger lingers or exhibits qualifying behavior (the clip includes video and audio, with an on-screen reminder: “Test video – recommended to delete within 72 hours”).
Immediately after recording, the video is transmitted via HTTPS/TLS to your linked Telegram account. Upon successful delivery, the App deletes the local copy with no permanent local storage. (Transmission is encrypted in transit but not end-to-end encrypted; Telegram handles any subsequent storage under its own policy.)
After successful push, the App sends a reminder notification advising you to manually delete the video from Telegram within 72 hours.
You are prohibited from taking screenshots, screen recordings, retaining videos beyond 72 hours, or sharing them via non-private channels. You bear full responsibility for any violations or resulting privacy risks.

5. Telegram Binding

Binding to Telegram is optional and available only to users who accept these Terms. It is used solely for receiving alert videos.
Videos are pushed to your personal Telegram chat (not end-to-end encrypted; temporarily stored on Telegram servers). We strongly recommend manually deleting videos within 72 hours to minimize privacy risks.
You bear all responsibility for any risks arising from sharing, delayed deletion, or use of non-secure Telegram features.

6. User Rights and Withdrawal of Consent

At any time, go to App Settings >“One-Click Withdraw All Consents” to immediately stop all monitoring and irreversibly delete all family facial templates and related data.
Upon withdrawal, the App ceases facial recognition, audio monitoring, and other processing, resetting to the default disabled state.
You may view and manage family photos and corresponding facial feature vector templates (in Settings > Manage Family Faces), including viewing the photos, deleting individual photos (and associated vectors).
Rights under GDPR, PDPA, PIPL, CCPA/CPRA include access, correction, deletion of personal data, withdrawal of consent, and opt-out of sales/sharing (note: this App does not sell or share data for commercial purposes). 7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The App is a beta-stage home security tool provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee 100% accuracy, reliability, or freedom from false alarms, interruptions, or errors.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we (and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents) disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to privacy breaches, property damage, personal injury, data loss, or missed detections.
Violation of these Terms may result in immediate revocation of beta access, suspension or restriction of features, or other remedies at our discretion.

8. Governing Law and Updates

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted exclusively to the courts of Singapore.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice in the App. Your continued use after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Additional Notes for Specific Regions

EEA Users: These Terms do not affect your mandatory rights under GDPR.
California Residents: Your rights under CCPA/CPRA apply as described.
China Users: Processing complies with PIPL requirements.
Singapore Users: Complies with PDPA.

9. Miscellaneous

Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, fire, flood, strikes, or failures of internet or telecommunications services.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be reformed to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PRIMESOFT regarding the App and supersede all prior understandings.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
